Half a day is enough to discover the essentials of the historic center of Ollioules. The office is part of the Office de Tourisme Provence Méditerranée network. From January 1 to June 30 Open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.

What are the must-see places?

Religious and architectural heritage

The 11th-century Romanesque church of Saint Laurent in the heart of the medieval quarter is the architectural jewel of the village. An 11th-century religious building, its construction dates back to 1096. Built in the Romanesque style

The remains of the feudal castle dominate Ollioules from their hilltop location. The ruins of a medieval castle dominate Ollioules: climb the hill to reach this fortress and enjoy a breathtaking view.

Must-see museums

The Maison du Patrimoine (Heritage House) houses tools, photographs, documents, and testimonials, and its walls tell us two agricultural stories about the town: horticulture and olive growing. It is housed in a magnificent 17th-century mansion.

The Musée de la Fleur d'Ollioules (Ollioules Flower Museum) was inaugurated in December 2021 in the former chapel of the Observantins convent. The visit continues in the Jardin des Heures, laid out like a sundial.

The Public School Museum recreates a classroom from the past. Located in a former primary school, it welcomes you for a trip back in time. Smocks, sergeant major pens, inkwells... everything is ready for the children to take part in a dictation.

Craftsmanship and traditions

Holder of the national “Ville et Métiers d'Art” label, Ollioules is home to around thirty artisans. Thirty artisans, ceramists, stained glass artists, jewelers, sculptors, and more create unique pieces in their workshops.

The Jonquier nougat factory has been continuing a family tradition since 1885. Historically associated with the thirteen Provençal desserts, Jonquier nougat has been made by hand in a copper cauldron by the family in Ollioules since 1885.

Natural areas

After strolling along the Canal des Arrosants, a gravity-fed irrigation system dating back to the 15th century, visitors can discover a flour mill with its wheel still in working order.

The Gros Cerveau mountain range offers superb hikes with panoramic views. The Gros Cerveau viewpoint is accessible by footpaths.

How to get to Ollioules

By car

A50 motorway. It crosses the southern part of the municipality with one exit and one entrance. Ollioules is strategically located between Toulon and Marseille.

The main access roads include the RDN8 towards Le Beausset to the north and towards Toulon to the east. RD 11 towards Sanary-sur-Mer. RD 26 towards Six-Fours-les-Plages.

By public transport

The town is served by the Mistral bus network, which covers all the municipalities in the Toulon Provence Méditerranée metropolitan area. Six lines serve Ollioules: 1, 11B, 12, 120, 122, U.

Ollioules-Sanary-S-Mer station, 83190 OLLIOULES (opposite the station). TER ZOU! ticket sales. Monday to Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The station serves the Marseille-Toulon TER line.

Distances from major cities

Toulon: 9.4 km. Marseille: 61 km. Aix-en-Provence: 79 km. Nice: 131 km. Access from these cities is therefore very convenient.
