Winter opening hours are 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., closed on Sundays. In summer, the office is open every day from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The team will answer all your questions about the village and events.
The office is closed on public holidays. You can obtain free tourist information. The village has a very full cultural calendar.
Where to park in Le Castellet?
There are two large car parks in Le Castellet: one before the village and the other at the foot of the village. Parking can be difficult during the high season and when car races are held. All the car parks in Le Castellet are shown on our map at the top of this page.
Car parks charge a daily rate during the summer season and are free the rest of the year. The flat rate is around €4-5. Outside the season, you can also find free parking spaces inside the village.
Vehicles are not allowed in the medieval village. Bring change or a credit card for parking. It is possible to park for free along certain access roads and walk a short distance.

The Château du Castellet has dominated the village since the 15th century. Today it houses the Town Hall and you can admire its imposing facade and defensive towers. The esplanade offers an exceptional panoramic view of the Sainte-Baume massif.
The Church of Saint-Sauveur de la Transfiguration dates from the 12th century. Its triple-arched bell tower is typical of Provençal Romanesque buildings. The Trou de Madame is a postern gate opening in the ramparts on the rampart walk.
