95 km from Nice, take the D202 in the direction of Digne, via Guillaumes (D2202) or Beuil (D28).
Located at the gateway to the Mercantour National Park, at the confluence of the Tuebi and the Aigue Blanche valley, the village of Péone clings to a group of picturesque rocky outcrops called the "Demoiselles".
The village is a typical example of a medieval mountain village. Its narrow streets are charming with their vaulted passageways, worn stepped streets, half-timbered houses and a variety of trompe l'oeil facades from numerous era.
